NucleoCounter® NC-200™, NC-202™ and NC-3000™ analyze a total volume of 1.4 µl of sample (1.35 µl for NC-202™) stained with the fluorescent dyes acridine orange and DAPI. The large volume increases accuracy compared to manual counting, where the standard is to count 100 cells regardless of cell concentration and number of squares counted, or to count 0.4 µl volume regardless of the number of cells counted.
