Critical Factors in the Reception of Grain in Trucks and Wagons

Some of the most critical factors in any Plant or Port Terminals that receive grains for storage (Stockpiles) and / or shipment for Export are:

  • Speed in the processing of trucks and wagons so that the waiting line of these does not become endless, increasing the productivity of the plant.

Traditional chemical methods are unfeasible because of their delay, and NIR technology is already installed in most of them. However, they are still bench-top devices that depend on taking a sample (no larger than 500 grams) to be processed on them. This adds time for due process, as it can only be done at the end of loading onto trucks and wagons.

On the other hand, it still involves the subjectivity of the person taking the sample and its low representativeness with respect to the total load of the truck (30 tons).
