The First and ONLY Automatic NIR System for Real-Time Monitoring of Grain Quality in Trucks and Wagons.

Main features

  • The truck enters the draft lane, the operator starts the truck and enters the bill of lading (optional) with the Bar Code Scanner (or manual).
  • The T-Scanner Probe is inserted into the grain load.
  • A proximity sensor detects the presence of sample covering the measurement window, initiating the automatic spectral acquisition (scanning) process.
  • This “scanning” process is active throughout the entire path of the T-Scanner Probe, both downward and upward, covering the entire grain column.
  • When completely out of the load, the system intelligently detects the end of A DRAFT, reporting at that moment the averages of each measured parameter by Section (Upper – Middle – Lower) and by Total Draught.
  • It will repeat the process in each one of the drafts, registering in a file ALL the measurements per Section and per Draft, until the operator presses on the Touch Screen the End of Truck button.
  • The measurement is then closed and the overall Averages by Parameter, Section and Truck Total are displayed on the screen.

Innovative Features

Technology

The NIR spectrometric technology (TecnoCientífica SA) is modularized, integrating its different parts to the Automatic Calibrator System (Jorgensen):

  • The Optical Sensor is assembled to the lower end of the Caliper Probe. We call it T-Scanner Probe
  • Intelligent communication is via CAN protocol between Optical Sensor and Central Command Console.
  • The NIR energy signal travels through special fiber optics for this type of transmission.
  • The Central Command Console is installed on a counter next to the Dragler Operator, so that he can Start and Close trucks (or wagons) at the touch of a button on his Touch Screen.

The process streamlines the operation, maximizing sampling representativeness and eliminating sampling and sample handling errors for benchtop equipment.

Quality control solutions

The automatic processing of the load together with the data of the Bill of Lading of the Truck at the entrance of the Plant, maximizes the Loyalty of the same, adding to the traceability of the product.

Part of the data that goes into the quality measurement is where the load is coming from. This makes it possible to work on the traceability of this and to draw up quality maps according to the origin of the grains.

The distinctive feature of our system, which allows measurement by draught and by section, offers the possibility of detecting and locating fraudulent loads, either by excess moisture or quality not agreed with the supplier.

When harvesting is urgent and trucks must be unloaded quickly and safely, the T-Scanner becomes the ideal tool for deciding which silo to send one load or another to. This allows to classify the grains by quality bands, achieving a commercial plus in your products.
